‘Eat’ is Murder

Tristram Stuart, author of The Bloodless Revolution, gave a speech to the Nehru Centre on 13th September. He discusses radical vegetarians and discovery of India, in a talk that both challenges ideas of the history of cultural exchange between India and the West, and also touches on the rationale behind abstinence from meat.

Tristram’s observations on veganism’s history are compelling and the subject of this history has been on mymind a lot of late!

As a film maker, I would love to make a top rate documentary based on his book.

Unfortunatel I do not know how to contact him, so any help would be appreciated, or maybe someone connected to him would be kind enough to convey my thoughts to him.

Thanks,

Vegetarianism, as program, disregards human beings.
While the abusive treatment of our food sources – both plant and animal – goes on, attributing lack of feeling to animals (one wonders re plants, no?), vegetarianism is an anti-human being project, ignoring facts. Decent treatment of Earth’s including our resources can only develop in a materially just world. …is why we seek to rid it of capitalism – profit, competition for profit – and its enforcer, imperialism, and develop socialist – worker owned – production and distribution by and for all of us including for Earth.
