the guy in the suit is right, and that’s a fact. I know this as a parent and as a user of internet chat sites myself. I think the internet is great for developing confidence and great for people who have restricted social lives through illness or for any other reason. However, for developing kids it’s very worrying that they will spend almost 100% of their time on the internet if allowed & it certainly displaces other activities. Being kids, they aren’t likely to be engaging in lively debate, but more likely to be playing games with little deep social contact. I don’t know how to describe it but I’m sure other parents will know what i mean.
