Leviathan wins the Samuel Johnson Prize for non-fiction!
Congratulations to Philip Hoare! Last night his book Leviathan, a work chronicling his lifelong fascination with whales, was awarded the prestigious Samuel Johnson Prize for non-fiction. Published by 4th Estate, Leviathan is a gripping voyage of discovery into the heart of his whale obsession and the book that inspired it: Herman Melville’s Moby-Dick.
