Am currently reading this book…mesmerising. My Dad spent 6 years in India/Burma in WWII , inthe DLI….a section of them were on Kuki Piquet Hill as far as i can tell from other write ups…..I am unsure if he actually fought at Kohima or not. He died Oct 2007, just before I took a 3 year ex pat deal to Pune, India, where I am living now, and he left me an album with lots of photos in it more than 60 years old. I am trying to get to Kohima but need a permit, and government says it is dangerous for a lone European visitor, but they will give a permit eventually…was wondering if Mr Keane knows of any official visits that happen, or how I can get to Kohima…Cheers
